A text for every arrival

DataCM is a data protection consultancy in Bremerhaven, Germany. Its team goes out to clients on service calls. To record their time, they sent a text message when they arrived at a job and another one when they left.

That worked as long as nobody forgot. When a message was missing, the visit was missing from the records too, and some service calls slipped through without a clean entry.

A boundary around each job

DataCM replaced the text messages with geofences: a boundary around each job location. When someone's phone arrives there, they're checked in. When it leaves, they're checked out. The time on site is recorded in the background, against the right place.

Setting it up took less than half an hour.

Nobody thinks about it anymore

It's the part of Hellotracks the team uses most. Fewer service calls get forgotten, and the team doesn't have to think about recording their time during the day. It just runs.
